The story of Sun World is a story of firsts, mosts, and innovation, that informed our company at inception and continues to be the primary driver today. Beginning in the 1980’s, Sun World disrupted the produce business by introducing new proprietary fruits and vegetables to an industry accustomed to commodities.

Sun World was also one of the pioneers of produce licensing, offering unique varietals to international growers, who now number over 2,700+. Those decades-long relationships with our licensees, remain the bedrock of the company today.

Today, Sun World’s table grape breeding program is one of the largest and longest-running in the world, with 70,000+ acres planted in 17 countries, and 450+ plant patents held across a robust genetics platform.
