Sun World International is a Private Equity backed, California-based agriculture and technology firm engaged in fruit variety development, intellectual property, and licensing. Our table grape and stone fruit varieties, developed by one of the world’s leading specialty fruit breeding programs, are grown in more than 15 countries across the world.


Sun World is searching for a talented and entrepreneurial professional to join the team as a Strategy Associate. This position will report to the VP of Strategy and Sustainability, and collaborate with and support senior leadership across the company to assist with the evaluation and execution of organic and inorganic growth opportunities globally.



– Report directly to the VP of Strategy and Sustainability

– Support mission-critical initiatives including strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and ESG/sustainability

– Inform key strategic decisions with research, data analysis, and synthesis

– Deliver the message by developing presentations that articulate conclusions clearly and concisely to share with the leadership team, PE sponsor, Board of Directors, and outside stakeholders



– Manage analytical workstreams that drive company decision making (examples include market sizing, modeling projected revenues, etc)

– Lead data gathering for emerging sustainability program

– Distill key findings into presentations in support of a variety of leadership team initiatives

– Coordinate functional activities, including meetings and projects, as assigned by the VP of Strategy & Sustainability

– Maintain local relationships and travels to the office as necessary to collaborate and build relationships throughout the organization

– Communicate across functions globally to build and leverage key organizational relationships

– Exceptional PowerPoint skills, strong Excel and Microsoft office skills

– 2-3+ years of business experience, PE or consulting experience preferred

– Experience in the agriculture, food technology, bio solutions, life sciences, licensing/franchised businesses or other similar industries preferred

– Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent in experience
