Featuring sweet delicious black grapes and aromatic thyme, this dessert will fill your kitchen with the smell of the holidays.

Ingredients

Filling:

  • 3 cups black seedless grapes
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp thyme, chopped
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

Topping:

  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted

Directions

  1. Blend one cup of grapes in a food processor
  2. In a large pot combine blended grape pulp, lemon juice, sugar and remaining whole grapes. Bring to boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 15 minutes. Add thyme and simmer for about 15 minutes more, stirring frequently, until mixture has thickened. Remove saucepan from heat and transfer to a ceramic baking dish to cool.
  3. To make the topping, combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, oats and butter in a large bowl and mix until just combined.
  4. Spoon the crumble mixture over the filling and place the dish on a large baking tray. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the crumble is golden brown.
  5. Enjoy!
