This California grown, heart-shaped plum is picked in September to finish off plum season with a delicious bang. The full dark red to purple-blue skin tempts you to savor its sweet light amber flesh. And because Angeleno plums keep so well, you can enjoy pairing their exemplary flavor with all your favorite Thanksgiving dishes.

Consumer Handling Tips
Storage Life: Refrigerator – 5 days
Selection: Choose plums that are slightly firm and have good color. When fully ripe, plums are soft to the touch.
Storage: Store at room temperature until ripe. Once ripe, store in the refrigerator away from ethylene producing fruit (apples, pears, bananas).
Ripening: To accelerate ripening place plums in a paper bag with a banana, pear or apple. Once the plum reaches your preferred ripeness, remove and store it away from such fruit to avoid over ripening.
Preparation: Wash hands thoroughly for 20 seconds with warm soap and water. Rinse under cool water (no soap) and pat dry.
