Consumer Handling Tips
Storage Life: Refrigerator – 5 to 7 days, Freezer – 3 months
Selection: Choose grapes that are plump, firm to the touch and firmly attached to the stem.
Storage: Store grapes in their original bag or clamshell until ready to wash and eat. Make sure to remove any spoiled grapes before storing and when noticed during storage. Fresh grapes should be returned to the refrigerator within two hours of serving.
Freezing: To freeze grapes, wash, pat dry and arrange them in a single layer on a cookie sheet. After two hours in the freezer, place them in a resalable plastic bag and return to freezer. Make sure to remove as much oxygen from the bag as possible to avoid freezer burn.
Preparation: Wash hands thoroughly for 20 seconds with warm soap and water. Wash grapes by rinsing them briefly under cool water (no soap) and pat dry.
