Consumer Handling Tips
Storage Life: Refrigerator – 5 daysSelection: Select fairly firm, smooth, plump, well-formed fruit. The skin should be orange-yellow. Fully ripe apricots are soft to the touch.
Storage: Store in a plastic bag or air tight container in the refrigerator.
Ripening: Store in a paper bag at room temperature away from heat and direct sunlight. Usually takes two to four days for fruit to ripen. Some people like their stonefruit crunchy, others soft and juicy. So once your fruit reaches your preferred ripeness, remove apricots from the paper bag and store in the refrigerator.
Preparation: Wash hands thoroughly for 20 seconds with warm soap and water. Rinse gently under cool water (no soap) and pat dry.
