Vice President Human Resources

Karen’s business is the people of Sun World. She develops and implements human resource programs covering organizational planning and development; employment, new employee onboarding and training; employee relations, compensation; benefits; safety and health; and employee services for the entire company. As a member of the senior leadership team responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans, she also helps ensure the company’s continued growth and success.

Before joining the company in 2009, Karen led the human resource departments at Skillstorm/SGIS, Hospital Clinic Services Group, and the San Diego State University Foundation. Her stellar work for these companies in San Diego earned her the title of Human Resources Professional of the Year.

Outside of the office, she gives back to her professional and neighborhood communities through various organizations. She is a member of the National and Kern County Society for Human Resources Professionals (SHRM) and a Community Council Member of the Bakersfield chapter of the American Cancer Society.
